Good follow through is important for a designer. All the elements about a room or garden must work together to create a desired mood or effect. For an interior designer that detail might be switch plates. For a garden designer, that detail might be watering cans as watering cans serve an important purpose especially for container gardens that need to be watered. Decks, patios, screened-in porches, and sunrooms have live plant material that need to be maintained year-round. The watering can should be as pretty as the room where it sets or the plants that it waters and one of my favorites is the dainty copper watering can.
Another favorite is the galvanized short-necked watering can that is a silver or pewter metallic color. It is a lovely garden accent choice when you have poured concrete containers. The dainty copper watering can turns a wonderful patina with age, if that is desirable in a garden setting. To me it would be charming with terra cotta containers. But no matter which watering can you choose make sure they are functional and fashionably adding to the overall look and feel to your garden area.
